Clemson football has a reputation of developing talent. They don’t always have recruiting classes that rate as high as Alabama’s or LSU’s, but Dabo Swinney and the coaching staff turns almost every player into an NFL prospect. However, the stigma of lower recruiting classes might soon be gone.
Clemson is looking to finish out the top recruiting class in the country. They currently have 17 commits, five of whom are five-star prospects. They are filling needs, adding depth, and simply getting some of the best players in the country.
Alabama and LSU are currently right behind Clemson, but they have a lot of work to do before they can catch up to the Tigers. Clemson has recruited very hard both inside and outside of the state of South Carolina.
However, this recruiting class is not over for Clemson football. They still have plenty of scholarships for prospects to earn, and they are likely to land a few more players that are incredibly talented. If they manage to get one or two guys at the top of the rankings, they will likely solidify their spot as No. 1 in the 2020 class.
There are still a lot of things in the air with every team. Some players are wanting to commit now, while others are keeping their options open. There will be plenty of guys that de-commit from their current schools for a multitude of reasons.
Also, you need to play football games in 2019 for some of these guys to make their final decisions.
