5. Houston at Oklahoma (Week 1)

In 2016, Houston pulled off a massive upset against the Sooners winning 33-23. It was one of the most exciting non-conference games of 2016 and put the Cougars in position to potentially sneak into the College Football Playoff had they gone undefeated.

Flash forward to 2019 and once again both programs will meet in Week 1, but this time in Norman.

What makes this game so watchable will be the offense.

Houston gave former West Virginia head coach Dana Holgorsen a massive five-year contract this offseason in hopes of revitalizing the program.

Holgorsen has coached explosive offenses at West Virginia and his arrival in Houston will certainly result in some huge plays for the Cougars.

This game should essentially be an early season rematch of Oklahoma vs. West Virginia, a game that featured 115 total points and resulted in a 59-56 Oklahoma victory.

This game has epic shootout written all over it.
