2. LSU at Texas (Week 2)

Last season was a huge step back into relevancy for LSU and Texas. Both programs had an impressive regular season and finished strong in their bowl games.

Not only will this game be a top ten matchup against two prestigious programs, but this seems like a de-facto playoff game in week two. LSU will need to win this because of the brutal schedule they face in the SEC, meanwhile Texas needs this win to bolster its résumé to overcome a weak Big 12 schedule. Not saying this game will be an elimination game, but it will have the atmosphere of a playoff game.

This game will answer some of the biggest questions in college football.

  1. Is Texas back?
  2. Was 2018 a fluke for Coach O?

This game also features two great college quarterbacks in Sam Ehlinger and Joe Burrow.

Overall, this game is very appetizing and the 7:30 p.m. ET kickoff on a Saturday will make it one of the first big prime time games of the season.
