Ohio State Football: Paris Johnson Jr. pulls off epic troll of Michigan
Ohio State football has to feel good about the future, especially since guys like Paris Johnson Jr. understand the Michigan rivalry already.
Although he has yet to officially step foot on campus as a Buckeye, Paris Johnson Jr. is already becoming some fans’ favorite player.
A lot of kids don’t understand the rivalry between Michigan and Ohio State football when they commit to either school right away, but the Buckeyes don’t have to worry about that with Johnson Jr. who is from Cincinnati, Ohio. He has grown up understanding the rivalry and that hasn’t changed even though he went through the recruiting process with an open mind.
Johnson Jr. made plenty of Ohio State fans laugh on Wednesday when he responded to a tweet from The Wolverine Mag, stating that Michigan’s top tradition is losing to Ohio State.
The Buckeyes have won 14 out of 15 in the rivalry and 16 of the past 18. It’s been completely lopsided since 2001 and Ryan Day doesn’t plan to give up that dominance to Jim Harbaugh even though he doesn’t quite have the coaching experience usually required for his position in Columbus.
Michigan fans didn’t think this was too funny, though. They responded with a lot of “why would you respond to a Michigan tweet?” comebacks, but it was a five-star troll from a five-star recruit, ranked in the top-10 in the 2020 class.
If this is how heated and troll-y the rivalry is going to be for high school seniors who haven’t even played a down of college football, the future of The Game is in good hands.
And take a bow, Paris, you’ve earned internet fame for a day.
