3. UCF Knights

Last year’s Central Florida squad continued the famous winning streak, going a whopping 745 days without losing a single ballgame before falling to LSU in the Fiesta Bowl.

The Knights may enter 2019 with former starting quarterback McKenzie Milton, who continues to rehab his season-ending leg injury, but his fill-in, Darriel Mack, Jr. is back to compete against incoming Notre Dame transfer Brandon Wimbush.

Several defensive stars return and both main running backs, Greg McRae and Adrian Killins, are back after combining to rush for almost 2,000 yards last season.

The Knights will host Stanford in Week 3 and will travel on the road to face Temple and Cincinnati, two teams expected to compete for the AAC title. Despite this handful of challenging contests, Central Florida should be favored in every game it plays this fall.

If head coach Josh Heupel and the Knights can pull it off for the second time in three seasons, be warned: there might be another victory parade at Disney World. It’s clear that if the Knights do win every game on their schedule, they will not have the opportunity to play in the College Football Playoff (therefore greatly increasing their chances of finishing undefeated after playing in a lesser New Year’s Six bowl).
