Rondale Moore is a great receiver for Purdue, and he will thrive in his sophomore season. If people are looking at sophomores to scout for the 2021 draft class, keep an eye on Moore.

Although he is undersized at receiver, the 5-foot-9 playmaker does things that others simply can’t. Instead of being the deep threat, he is more of a targets guy that makes plays after the ball is in his hands. He turns a five-yard slant into a 50-yard touchdown.

With his smaller frame, he is simply hard to bring down. His speed is impressive, and he bounces off of potential tacklers. Every time they try to tackle him, he lands on his feet. You have to wrap Moore up to stop him, and his speed makes that very difficult.

Moore plays up to competition as well. His best game of his freshman season was when the Boilermakers upset the Ohio State Buckeyes. In that game, Moore had 170 receiving yards and two touchdowns. He seemed to be their go-to guy whenever they needed a play, and that role will only grow in 2019.

A concern for Moore this season will be the change of quarterback. Last year, David Blough was the man under center for Purdue. Without him, they will likely turn to an unproven Elijah Sindelar. He might be great, but that remains to be seen. If he is, it will be partially because of what Moore brings to the passing game.
