Florida football freshman running back Iverson Clement has provided some bulletin board material for Miami prior to their Week 0 battle.

In-state rivalries are always intense and Miami and Florida football will meet in Week 0 in what is shaping up to be a heated battle in Orlando.

College football fans have to be ecstatic about this season-opening battle on Aug. 24 to kick off 2019 as the Hurricanes and Gators will meet up with a ton on the line — including bragging rights and a step toward being “back” in terms of national contention.

As if the rivalry wasn’t heated enough, Florida redshirt freshman running back Iverson Clement added some major bulletin board material for the Hurricanes ahead of this late-August bout.

You have to give it up to this kid for being overly confident even though he has four collegiate carries to his name for 17 yards. He’s got all the talent in the world, but he hasn’t proven anything yet, but this kind of talk can win you over within your own fan base and make the rival’s hate you even more.

In order for him to truly become a legend in the rivalry, Clement needs to have his career game against the Hurricanes in Week 0 and prove that his trash talk had some merit behind it.

This isn’t just friendly banter, either. The New Jersey-native said it’s going to “get ugly” for Miami real fast when the season begins. Will he be a major part of that?
