Sophomore tight end Brevin Jordan is on just about every publication’s preseason All-ACC first-team. The Miami football star is going to be a problem.

The days of Brevin Jordan flying under the radar as a secret weapons have been long gone, but college football fans still aren’t giving the sophomore tight end from Miami the respect he deserves.

The 6-foot-3, 245-pounder from Bishop Gorman High in Las Vegas, Nev., had a breakout freshman season, recording 32 catches for 287 yards and four touchdowns. That may not seem like much, but it was enough to garner preseason All-ACC accolades and he’s been the talk of the offense ever since Manny Diaz took over.

Heck, he’s even claimed that the hype is real that Miami is back under Diaz and everyone will have to tune in on Aug. 24 to find out.

Is that true? It’s too early to tell, but Jordan could very well be the best player on the offensive side of the ball for the Hurricanes, and that includes the quarterbacks, Navaughn Donaldson, DeeJau Dallas, Lorenzo Lingard Jeff Thomas.

Jordan’s numbers didn’t blow anyone away as a true freshman, but there’s a reason he’s getting so much respect within his own conference. His potential is through the roof and his athleticism for the tight end position is flat-out frightening.

Miami football may be on its way back to national relevance after an off-year in 2018, and Jordan is one of the guys who will stir the Hurricanes’ drink.
