Virginia: Bryce Perkins, QB

Bryce Perkins is truly one of the more under-appreciated quarterbacks in the conference, but he has an oppurtunity to change that in 2019. There is momentum in Charlottesville after ending a bowl drought in 2017 and winning eight games last year.

Perkins took over the starting job in 2018, and had the kind of numbers that would have been fawned at if he played for a bigger brand. He completed 65 percent of his passes for 2,680 yards, 25 touchdowns, and a passer rating of 147.5. He also rushed for 923 yards and nine touchdowns. He’s not just a quarterback with some nice wheels, he’s one of the fastest players on the team.

The potential for growth is also exciting, given that 2018 was his first year of Power Five action. He may be underrated, but by the end of 2019, Bryce Perkins will be a household name.
