North Carolina: Michael Carter, RB

Navarre, Florida product Michael Carter is at a far different Tar Heel program than the one he originally signed. Larry Fedora’s tenure took a nosedive, and now legendary coach Mack Brown takes over.

Through the turmoil, Carter has produced. His touchdown total dropped off in 2018, but he got better in several other categories. He raised his totals in both rushing and receiving, and he raised his yards per carry from 5.8 to 7.1. He caught 25 passes in 2018, up from 11 in the previous year. Under new offensive coordinator Phil Longo, that number should increase.

With a freshman quarterback and an old school head coach, all signs point to Carter being a big part of this offense in 2019.
