Dave Clawson has a big decision to make

This could be the closest quarterback competition in the country. If Wake Forest was a bigger “football school” this quarterback battle would be getting a lot more publicity. Both Hartman and Newman could start at a lot of schools across the country, regardless of conference.

Dave Clawson will have a big decision to make, but as long as no one transfers after the starting quarterback is named, Wake will have two legit No. 1 quarterbacks and depth that most schools envy at that position.

Whoever ends up winning the starting job will have the opportunity to lead Wake to a fourth straight bowl game and will have the luxury of throwing to wide receiver Sage Surratt (who I think could be one of the best receivers in the ACC).
