Everyone’s favorite Season 3 star has returned in Season 4, but Malik Henry was not welcomed with open arms by his Last Chance U teammates.

Right when we thought Malik Henry was off to pursue his Division 1 dreams, he returned to Last Chance U in Season 4 thanks to head coach Jason Brown.

Everyone just assumed the two hated each other as they didn’t quite seem eye-to-eye, but Brown has a soft spot for the talented quarterback. But he wasn’t on the show from the start of the first episode, he was kind of eased in by Brown, much to the dismay and disapproval of the team.

Brown held a meeting late in the first episode where he told the team that Henry would be coming back as a scout team quarterback and wouldn’t play in 2018, just practice.

How did the team react?

Receiver Markiese King was not on board as he stated that new quarterback Jay Jones, a Georgia Tech transfer, was better anyways and that Henry was a locker room cancer.

Chance Main, a redshirt freshman defensive lineman, was quick to state that it wasn’t a good idea, but as long as he doesn’t play, it should be fine. He clearly wasn’t a fan of Henry from the season before, and made that known right away.

Jones sat silent on the side of the room, looking a little disappointed, but an interview shortly after caught him saying he wasn’t afraid of the competition.

Clearly Henry ruffled a ton of feathers in his time at Independence, but Brown believe he was going to help the team. Was this the right move?
