Auburn is truly defined by their interior

The quarterback battle is getting all the publicity, but the offensive and defensive lines are what will drive the Auburn Tigers in 2019.

The offensive line returns five senior starters. Prince Tega Wanogho is the premier player of the group, and he’ll start at left tackle. As this team is guaranteed to start a freshman at quarterback, this offensive line is going to have to play at a high level in 2019.

It is, however, the defensive line which is the best position group on the team. It’s quite possibly the best defensive front in the conference, and it’s the reason Auburn has a shot this year.

After the decision by both Derrick Brown and Marlon Davidson to return for their senior season, it was cemented that this would be an elite unit. Nick Coe, who had seven sacks a year ago, will be the anchor on the inside. In addition to these veterans, young players like T.D. Moultry, Coynis Miller, and Tyrone Truesdell will contribute.

All the attention is focused on quarterback, but it is the big men that will carry Auburn in 2019.
