After winning just fives games in both 2017 and 2018, Air Force football will look to finally get back to a bowl game this season.
Air Force has always been known for their unusual offense that combines the triple-option mixed with dash of passing. This offense has resulted in the Falcons being one of the most consistent rushing attacks in college football.
No one is expecting Air Force to be competing for a national championship. However, the team has built a reputation as being a formidable opponent in recent memory.
Just two seasons ago the Falcons won 10 games and defeated South Alabama in the Arizona Bowl.
Since then the team has not appeared in a bowl for two consecutive seasons. Head coach Troy Calhoun led the Falcons to nine bowl games in his first ten seasons, but has struggled of late in his last two.
Despite the recent struggles Air Force should return to a bowl game in 2019, despite a fairly daunting schedule.
