Winning back-to-back titles isn’t an easy task and Clemson football will find out the hard way in 2019. Why won’t the Tigers repeat?

Ever since Dabo Swinney became the head coach at Clemson, the Tigers seem to get better and better each season.

In the last 11 years, Dabo has won five ACC titles, two national championships and has become the highest-paid coach in the country. The only thing left for him to accomplish is successfully repeating, but winning back-to-back national championships is easier said than done — even for Dabo.

For one reason or another, no matter how great a national title team appears to be, it almost always fails to win the national championship that following year. Will Clemson prove to be any different? Only time will tell if they have what it takes to repeat, but if the Tigers do it will only be after overcoming these three major hurdles.

Here are the biggest reasons Clemson will probably not win the national championship in 2019.
