Can former Western Michigan football quarterback Tim Lester lead the nation’s most experienced team to a MAC Championship?

Tim Lester, one of the most prolific quarterbacks in Western Michigan history, might be working his dream job.

Starting for Gary Darnell from 1996-99, Lester threw for over 11,000 yards in his career as a Bronco. Now he has to build on a 7-6 season that had a series of ups and downs which included a four-game winning streak in the MAC, the loss of their starting quarterback for the season as the Broncos finished the season with BYU quarterback Zack Wilson setting an all-time record on the defense in a 49-18 loss in the Famous Potato Idaho Bowl.

With many of their pieces coming back including starting quarterback Jon Wassink returning from injury, can the Broncos improve on their 7-6 season and represent the MAC West in the conference championship game?

Here’s a preview of their offense and defense as well as a prediction on Western Michigan’s 2019 season.
