Collin Hill leads offense in 2019

As stated, Colorado State’s offense will go as far as quarterback Collin Hill can take them. He’s a more than capable starter and he should do more than prove that in 2019. Hill has the arm talent and can even make some plays with his legs — he was invited to the Manning Passing Academy over the summer.

While Colorado State does lose some key weapons from 2018, the cabinet isn’t bare. Running back Marcus McElroy should prove to be a steady reliable back. He’s made plenty of big plays since he played as a true freshman in 2017.

At receiver, the Rams do return Warren Jackson and they get Auburn transfer Nate Craig-Myers, who will be a breakout star for this team, much like Preston Williams and Michael Gallup before him.

The Rams also have talented incoming freshman receivers such as Ty McCullouch, Jaylen Hearst and Dante Wright who will all have an opportunity to make an immediate impact. Tight end Cameron Butler is an underrated weapon as well.

The Rams offensive line will need some time early to gel, as they only return two starters from last season. But offensive line has never been much of an issue in Bobo’s tenure in Fort Collins, so expect that aspect of the offense to be just fine.
