Alabama football has a reputation for scheduling weak teams outside of the conference. How do their opponents rank in 2019?

As July ends, we are finally approaching the college football season. The closer we get, the more we know about all teams, including Alabama football. As teams are getting close to fall practice, the picture that is the college football landscape becomes even clearer.

For Alabama, every game feels like a playoff game. However, the Tide can likely lose a game and still make it to the College Football Playoff. If they go 12-1 with an SEC Championship, there is no way they miss the Playoff.

Alabama’s schedule is always under fire for not being tough enough. However, they are in one of the toughest divisions in college football. Between hosting LSU and traveling to play Texas A&M and Auburn, they have some tough conference games. Of course, it doesn’t help that they also play three opponents outside the Power Five.

Alabama is also known for scheduling a big opponent every year to start the season. This season lacks that star game in Week 1, for the Tide will instead be playing Duke in Atlanta. Although this game will be a good warm up for the team, don’t expect any huge ratings like there were a couple of years ago when they played Florida State.

With the spectrum of teams ranging so far, who will be Alabama’s toughest opponent? Which week will hold their easiest game? Here is how I rank out Alabama’s regular season games by toughness to win. Everything from the team, the week, and the conditions of the game are factored in.
