Former head coach of Independence C.C. Jason Brown has claimed that he doesn’t believe Season 5 of Last Chance U will return to the school.

To say Season 4 of Last Chance U was a disaster for the featured school would have been an understatement. Independence C.C. was one of the top JUCOs in the nation heading into the 2018 season but finished with just two wins and became a laughing stock.

Besides recording just two wins, the program lost its head coach Jason Brown following the season for telling a German player that he was his “new Hitler” and recently the athletic director and school president resigned. Brown’s former assistant took his place as head coach as the season ended and a few of his former players headed off to Division 1 programs, such as Kailon Davis and Malik Henry.

But Brown won’t be back on the show for Season 5 unless there’s a “where are they now?” segment and he doesn’t know where the Netflix series will make its new home, but he claims it won’t be in Independence, Kan.

According to an exclusive interview with express.co.uk, Brown was blunt about his thoughts for a Season 5 destination, stating that Indy would not be considered by the Netflix series.

"“They’re not going back to Indy. I don’t know where they’re going but I know they’re not going back to Indy.”"

So that should end any speculation of the docu-series returning to Independence to follow life after Brown and the jumpstart Pirates of Independence C.C.

Where do you think Last Chance U should head next? East Mississippi C.C. would be a solid option, especially after Buddy Stephens is coming off yet another national title.
