Following an expected 3-0 start, Ohio State will return home in week four to face Chuck Martin’s Miami Redhawks. Martin has compiled a 22-39 record in Oxford, and he’ll replace most of his team from a year ago.

More from Ohio State Buckeyes

There isn’t a single quarterback on the Miami roster that completed a pass in 2018, so the rebuild starts there. Gus Ragland is gone, and Brett Gabbert, the freshman recruit, will likely take over.

Prediction: Win (4-0)

This game has the potential to get ugly. Ohio State’s ultra talented defensive line will take on a Miami offensive line that lost its whole left side, so it could be a big day for pass rushers.

This is also an important early-season opportunity for Justin Fields. The Redhawks are replacing almost their entire secondary and linebacking core, so Fields will be able to wrap up his first month as a starting quarterback on a great note against an inexperienced unit. The Big Ten schedule kicks into gear after this, so this is the last tune-up chance for the Buckeyes.
