The 2019 season is right around the corner, so which Texas A&M football players should we be watching for during fall camp?

With fall camp officially underway for Jimbo Fisher and the Aggies, we take a look at the top players to watch in training camp, after extensively covering the team over the spring and summer.

After undergoing a season-ending injury in training camp a year ago, Ikenna Okeke enters 2019 with a considerable amount of hope and some lofty expectations surrounding him.

Once heralded as “the next Donovan Wilson” after committing to the Aggies on National Signing Day in 2016, fans and coaches alike have placed some high standards for the redshirt sophomore out of Smyrna, Tennessee to live up to.

Although the former four-star prospect has yet to play meaningful downs in an Aggie uniform, Okeke is viewed as a crucial piece to defensive coordinator Mike Elko’s unit. At 6-3, 225 pounds, he has the ideal build and skill set to thrive as a linebacker-safety hybrid in Elko’s ferocious 4-2-5 scheme.

With Okeke back in the fold, he’ll provide the Aggies with a versatile head hunter who can be trusted to help set the edge, or drop in coverage.
