The Alabama football season is right around the corner. Who are some players to keep an eye on for the Tide during fall practices?

August is finally here. In a few weeks, it will be Alabama football time. Fans are counting down the days, and the team is preparing for the season ahead.

As they prepare, there are question marks for the Tide. With their top two running backs gone, players will have to step up in the backfield. They also have depth issues at multiple defensive positions. Also, how will they handle life without Jalen Hurts as a backup? If Tua goes down, his replacement will be unproven, no matter who the team picks.

The team will also have to overcome an unexpected bombshell when Eyabi Anoma was dismissed from the team late in the summer. With the three top players at outside linebacker coming off of major injuries in the past two season, depth is a key concern for the Tide.

From offense to defense to special teams, there are questions for the Tide. This goes with every team. It’s not always a bad thing, either. Most of their questions will be answered when the season rolls around. This fall camp, some of those questions might get answered.

Whether it’s a freshman or a senior, there always seems to be a few players who bust onto the scene early in the season. They might be in new roles, or they could be a multi-year starter. No matter what the case is, there always seems to be some guys that make some noise around this time of year.

With fall practices starting, the Tide have plenty of candidates to take a big step in 2019. Here are five players you need to keep your eye on as the season approaches.
