The release date for Season 3 of QB1 Beyond the Lights has been revealed and the show will make its return to Netflix within the next week.

There is one show on Netflix that should catch the attention of all college football fans. No, I’m not talking about Last Chance U, though that, too, is a must-watch for anyone craving college football in the summer, but rather I’m referring to QB1: Beyond the Lights.

Season 1 was a hit for fans who wanted to see bright young quarterbacks during their high school senior days as they transitioned to the collegiate level. It featured Wake Forest’s Tayvon Bowers, Miami’s Tate Martell and Georgia’s Jake Fromm.

Season 2 got even better with Justin Fields, now at Ohio State, Wake Forest’s Sam Hartman and Iowa State’s Re-Al Mitchell. It followed the injury that ended Fields’ high school career and his intense recruitment along with Hartman’s sparkling job turning around a winless program as well as Mitchell going from star quarterback to backup, losing his job to a five-star Clemson commit.

Now we get to look forward to Season 3 which is released on Aug. 16, according to reports, and the show released its first trailer:

Wondering who is featured in Season 3?

Original reports stated that Georgia’s 2020 class commit Carson Beck (the first underclassman to be on the show) would be one of the three stars, but that appears to have been false as Lance LeGendre of Maryland will take his place. Along with LeGendre will be Oklahoma’s five-star freshman Spencer Rattler and Kentucky three-star freshman Nik Scalzo.

Like the other seasons, this features a quarterback from each rating level: a three-star, four-star and five-star. This should draw plenty of attention from fans and give that one last holdover before the college football season kicks off on Aug. 24.
