Can the Cincinnati football team overtake Central Florida, win the AAC, and represent the group of five in the New Year’s Six?

The Bearcats sort of came out of nowhere last season to win 11 games. They were supposed to be good and they had some good veteran players like Hayden Moore and Gerrid Doaks, but not quite this good. Maybe a bowl game?

Then came the injuries.

Hayden Moore, Gerrid Doaks, defensive end Kevin Mouhon and Safety Chris Murphy would miss significant time due to injury. OK, they had some young talent. Michael Warren II was talented, and Desmond Ridder was the future, but no one saw 11-2.

Last year was a testament to how well head coach Luke Fickell and his staff have recruited.

Can they repeat and improve on last year’s performance? Will the Bearcats dethrone the Golden Knights? Here’s a preview of their season along with a prediction.
