Notre Dame football has started fall camp and has its eyes on only one thing: a national championship. Let’s take a look at the possibility.

Last season, Brian Kelly’s squad made it to the 2018 College Football Playoff. However, they were forced out for an early exit after their loss to Clemson.

Yet, this wasn’t just a typical loss — it was a complete beatdown.

Dabo Swinney’s squad dominated the Irish, winning 30-3. Many felt that Notre Dame did not deserve a spot in the playoff, and after that first semifinal match, their convictions were strengthened.

Furthermore, there is speculation that the College Football Playoff committee, whether intentional or not, make decisions based on previous year’s outcomes.

With that said, it may take a perfect season for the Irish to get back to the College Football Playoff this season.

Let’s take a game-by-game look at the Irish’s upcoming season and see if this perfect year is actually a real possibility.
