The Razorbacks open up with FCS opponent Portland State which went 4-7 last year and has not had a winning record since 2015. The Vikings actually were winless in 2017, but improved last year just to get to four wins.

With that said, Arkansas should not have any trouble facing off with Portland State. Even though the Vikings seem to be improving and heading in the right direction, this should not be much of a game and the Razorbacks should have a comfortable lead heading into half time.

I expect both Ben Hicks and Nick Starkel to get playing time here as this will almost be the last audition of who should get the starting job. However, Arkansas better stay focused here and work on getting better as they will open up conference play at Ole Miss the following week.

Final Score: Portland State 13, Arkansas 48 (1-0)
