In 2018, the Colorado Buffaloes got off to an incredible start by winning each of their first five games. Even more impressively, three of those wins were against relatively quality opponents: Arizona State, UCLA and Nebraska.

However, after that fifth game, Colorado quickly fell apart. It failed to win another game despite not really losing any of its star players to injury or anything of the sort.

Speaking of star players, the Buffaloes have, who some feel may be a Heisman long-shot, Steven Montez running their offense. He has the poise needed to stay in the pocket while under pressure, but also the running ability to take off and punish teams on the ground. What Montez doesn’t have is a supporting cast that will allow him to earn the spotlight.

We’re most likely to see a Colorado team that is somewhere between winning five straight games and losing the next seven. This Bruins team will be better than that in-between Colorado team, especially with the game being played in Los Angeles.

Final: Colorado 20, UCLA 35 (7-2, 5-1)
