Last year, the Bruins opened up their season at home against the Cincinnati Bearcats. UCLA got off to an early start in that game, going up 10-0 in the first quarter. The rest, well, was all Cincinnati.

Little did we know that this Cincinnati team was going to go on to be 11-2, recording the best year in school history. The Bruins kick off (get it?) the 2019 season against the Bearcats, but this year, things are going to go differently.

Although the game won’t be played in Westwood, the Bruins will have more than enough firepower and motivation to get a revenge win. This will also be our first opportunity to see how much growth Dorian Thomspon-Robinson has made over the off-season.

Furthermore, we will see which of Chip Kelly’s recruits will play significant roles in the upcoming season.

In an incredibly close game, we will see the Bruins pull out a win against one of the favorites to win the American Athletic Conference.

Final: UCLA 27, Cincinnati 24 (1-0)
