The Bruins are unlucky that they are forced to travel to take on another strong offense the very next week after playing against Oklahoma. The good news is that Gardner Minshew, the Cougars gun slinging quarterback of 2018, has moved on to the NFL.

Washington State will be needing to fill the quarterback position of someone who threw for nearly 4,800 yards last season.

It is still undetermined as to who will fill Minshew’s spot at quarterback. Mike Leach appears to have narrowed it down to Gage Gubrud or Anthony Gordon. But ultimately, Trey Tinsley still has a fair shot at the spot. Regardless, no matter who is under center for the Cougars, Mike Leach will have them well prepared and have a scheme to score on any defense.

Coming off a loss to Oklahoma, playing away from home, and facing the most underrated coach in all of college football is simply a recipe for a loss. UCLA will keep it close, but in the end, the Bruins will lose their second game of the year.

Final: UCLA 24, Washington State 31 (2-2, 0-1 Pac-12)
