By Dante Pryor
How will the Sun Devils fare in 2019?
- Week 1: Kent State (Aug. 29)
- Week 2: Sacramento State (Sept. 6)
- Week 3: at Michigan State (Sept. 14)
- Week 4: Colorado (Sept. 21)
- Week 5: at California (Sept. 27)
- Week 6: BYE
- Week 7: Washington State (Oct. 12)
- Week 8: at Utah (Oct. 19)
- Week 9: at UCLA (Oct. 26)
- Week 10: BYE
- Week 11: USC (Nov. 9)
- Week 12: at Oregon State (Nov. 16)
- Week 13: Oregon (Nov. 23)
- Week 14: Arizona (Nov. 29)
The Sun Devils are talented for sure, and there is a case they make it to the Pac-12 Championship Game.
The difference between a possible conference championship game berth and another 7-6 record is the quarterback. Jayden Daniels is one of the more talented freshmen quarterbacks in the country and he could turn the offense into a machine by the end of the season.
Prediction: 9-3, 6-3 Pac-12
The schedule is in the Devils’ favor with USC and Oregon both at home. The Sun Devils are a year away with all of their young talent but they could still build off a strong first campaign under Herm Edwards and set up a Pac-12 contending 2020 season.
