3. Nik Scalzo is one of most interesting stars of any season
When we first met Nik Scalzo, he seemed like an energetic kid who was just your typical high school teenager. But then the cameras caught him doing a flip off the roof of his Fort Lauderdale, Fla., house into the pool and that was just a glimpse into how different he was built.

As the lowest-rated of the three recruits featured, Scalzo was an interesting choice for the show and reminded fans a little of Re-al Mitchell from the season before who is now at Iowa State.
No, the two players weren’t entirely the same, but the fact that they were overlooked because they weren’t the ideal size for quarterback was very similar. Scalzo stands about 5-11 and has dual-threat abilities as well.
What made his story even more intriguing was the fact that Scalzo was involved in a terrifying car accident in 2016 when he fell asleep behind the wheel and the car flipped. He said he recalled being upside down and smelling gas so he kicked out the window and crawled out.
Scalzo is an interesting kid who is fearless and classifies himself as a daredevil and there’s just never a dull moment with him.
