This is the opening game of Big 12 play for both teams. Baylor is opening up with Stephen F. Austin, UTSA and Rice. Baylor should be 3-0 entering this game and have the luxury of being the home team as they open up Big 12 play.

According to our predictions, Iowa State should also be entering this game with a 3-0 record. While the Cyclones games against Northern Iowa and ULM should be relatively easy wins, Iowa will be one of the better teams they play all year.

Iowa State will already be battle-tested going into this matchup thanks to its game against Iowa.

Baylor will have to trust that the three games prior to Iowa State will have the Bears ready and prepped to take on the Cyclones. I think Iowa State comes in and beats Baylor in a back-and-forth game with Iowa State pulling away in the second half.

I expect the game to be close at halftime, but Iowa State pulls away and gets its first Big 12 victory of the year.

Final Score: Iowa State 37, Baylor 27 (4-0, 1-0 Big 12)
