Iowa State is finally back at home after two tough road games against West Virginia and Texas Tech.

Oklahoma State will have a new quarterback for the second straight year and it will be either Hawaii-transfer Dru Brown or highly-touted freshman Spencer Sanders. Regardless who wins the job, we can count on head coach Mike Gundy to have his team and his quarterback ready to play.

The Cowboys are coming off their worst year since 2014 and finished the year with a 7-6 record. I expect them to have a better season this year and be in the middle of the Big 12, where a lot of the middle-of-the-pack teams will be beating up on each other. Iowa State came away with a close win last year in Stillwater and expect this year to be a close game as well.

Iowa State and Oklahoma State will be back and forth during the first half, but Iowa State’s defense will toughen up in the second half and make the adjustments needed to stop the Cowboys. The Cyclones pull away in the second half, but still a close and competitive game.

Final Score: Oklahoma State 24, Iowa State 34 (8-0, 5-0)
