Miami football wasn’t able to live up to expectations in 2018 but with a new head coach, can the Hurricanes get back to the ACC Championship Game?

While Clemson is dominating the ACC Atlantic, the Miami Hurricanes head into 2019 looking to retake their spot atop of the ACC Coastal.

And while the expectations are high for Miami, the Hurricanes spent most of their offseason with the question of who would start at quarterback, and as of this offseason, that answer has been provided. Redshirt quarterback Jarren Williams beat out N’Kosi Perry and Ohio State transfer Tate Martell for the starting job, and now looks to lead the Hurricanes to an ACC title.

Miami will have its first chance in the first game of the season to show the college football world how good they really are, as they take on the Florida Gators in Week 0.

Florida, another team with high expectations, will be a great tone setter for how the Hurricanes season will go. A win puts the rest of the ACC on notice, while a loss, depending on the deficit, will have the conference ready to put an end to the Hurricanes’ playoff hopes.

With lots of talk of the Hurricanes returning to ACC title game, let’s take a look at if they can get there.
