The 2019 season is right around the corner, so what better time to rank the top 50 players in college football? The No. 1 player may surprise you.

Can you believe the college football season is here? The leaves aren’t yet changing colors and falling off the trees, but fans can still almost smell the scent of fresh cigars and hot dogs on the grill because tailgate season is also here.

It’s only a matter of time before the weather turns brisk and the northern college football programs are forced to play in frigid conditions, but everyone can agree that this is the best time of the year.

Sure, summer is over, but it’s time to gear up every Saturday, plant yourself in front of a TV and watch your favorite team either surpass expectations or have its hopes crushed.

Week 0 is basically upon us and there are two games that will kick off the 2019 season with a few top players in college football being showcased. Miami and Florida will face off in the first game and Arizona will travel to Hawaii for the second. Each contest features some top talent.
