The buzz for the start of Florida football’s season has hit a fevered pitch. Here are five bold predictions for the Gators in 2019.

The dawn of the 2019 college football regular season couldn’t have come fast enough for Dan Mullen.

After overachieving in huge ways in 2018, offseason drama has led to doubts about the program’s ability to sustain long-term success off the field. On the field, though, there’s more certainty.

Florida football marches into the season opener a top-ten team for the first time since Urban Meyer roamed the sidelines at The Swamp in 2010. Loaded with an abundance of talent at the skill positions, Florida appears ready to join the offensive elite in college football. And as always, the defense is rife with talent and will be led by a top-tier defensive coordinator.

If ever there was reason for excitement in Gainesville, 2019 is the year. Florida may not finally bring another championship back to Gator Nation this year, but the hope is that the progress made this year will become an important block in a championship foundation.
