Scott Frost acquired a reputation for having a big year two while at UCF. Will Nebraska football have a big second year under Frost?

In 2016, the Central Florida Golden Knights were 6-7 under first-year head coach Scott Frost. It was an improvement considering they didn’t win a single game the year before.

If you watch college football, you know what happened in 2017. If you don’t, I’ll enlighten you. The Knights finished undefeated and claimed a national title of their own though it was hotly debated and Alabama fans were outraged by the little guy. The Knights went undefeated on their way to a 34-27 win over the SEC’s Auburn Tigers in the Peach Bowl.

Well, it’s year two, and it’s Frost, but this isn’t the American Athletic Conference. The Big Ten is not nearly as winnable as the Group of Five league, but Frost’s Cornhuskers have some lofty expectations placed upon them by just about every expert, fan and national media member.

Are the lofty expectations fair? Probably not, but with the talent the Cornhuskers have along with the coach being one of the brightest in the business, projected a Big Ten West title isn’t all that outlandish.

Can the Nebraska Cornhuskers have the same type of turn around in year two? Here’s a preview of Nebraska’s offense, defense and a prediction of its final record.
