Well, the Bulldogs are really taking a graceful method to enter this 2019 season.

In Week 2, Georgia will welcome the Murrary State Racers to Sanford Stadium. The Racers are part of the Ohio Valley Conference in the FCS. Many FBS teams schedule at least one FCS school each year as an opportunity to rest their star players and get an easy win. The FCS schools have no problem facing the giants that are Georgia and the rest.

The game brings publicity and money to the smaller schools. And, on extremely rare occasions, the FCS team can shock the world much like Appalachian State did to Michigan in 2007. Now, App State is an FBS team largely in part from that win.

Last season, The Citadel went into halftime tied with Alabama, 10-10. That game ended with the Crimson Tide winning 50-17, but the point remains. The FCS teams don’t have really anything to lose.

What’s that? Get back to this game? Sorry. Yes, Georgia will rinse and repeat what they did in their first game against Vanderbilt. The starters will play the first half of the game then get pulled out. The Bulldogs win another easy one.

Final: Murray State 0, Georgia 42 (2-0)
