College football is back!
Following the prime-time thriller between Miami and Florida, the focus shifts westward halfway across the Pacific. Starting at 10:30 p.m. Eastern on CBS Sports Network, Hawaii hosts Arizona in a big matchup for both programs. The Rainbow Warriors are seeking a statement win in their home opener, while the Wildcats are looking for a rebound.
After missing out on a bowl game last year, Arizona will be hoping to regain some of its swagger under second-year head coach Kevin Sumlin. Led by Khalil Tate and J.J. Taylor, the offense will look to keep pace with a Rainbow Warriors squad that has proven more than capable of taking down opponents with their aerial assault.
Arizona enters the game as a double-digit favorite, but there are plenty of red flags that indicate this contest could be far closer than the sharps seem to think will occur. Hawaii arrives at the 2019 season as a legitimate contender in the Mountain West, and Nick Rolovich’s team has no intention of laying down for their Power Five opponent.
