The Tigers and head coach Ed Orgeron promise to open up the offense — again — and maybe this time it’s true. It seems as if they’ve been talking about opening the offense in Baton Rouge since the Les Miles era.
The addition of passing game coordinator Joe Brady and adopting RPO philosophies are steps that prove it actually might be true this time.
The Tigers have a quarterback, too. Joe Burrow might not have been able to crack the starting lineup at Ohio State, but he’s found a home in Death Valley. He brought moxie, leadership and a steadying hand to the Tiger program. Now he needs to put up numbers to go with all the cliche` intangible stuff.
One thing the Tigers have never been short on is talent, especially on defense, and that will be no different this season. The question is can they break through in arguably the most difficult division in all of college football.
