Last time Washington played Eastern Washington, the Huskies got quite a scare. Washington ended up winning the game, but not by much as the final score was 59-52 in 2014. Eastern Washington is usually one of the better teams in the FCS.

Washington should be heavy favorites here against the FCS opponent as the EWU starting quarterback the previous few years, Gage Gubrud, has transferred to Washington State. This will be a good game to break in a bunch of new starters before they open up with conference play in Week 2 of the regular season against California.

Washington will win comfortably here against a good FCS opponent and will use this game to finalize the starters heading into Week 2. However, they better not overlook Eastern Washington.

Final Score: EWU 17, Washington 45 (1-0)
