Washington will open up Pac-12 play early in the season as they will welcome the Golden Bears to town. Cal may have the best defense in the Pac-12, which will help keep them in every game.

The question with Cal is if they can get their offense going. They bring back quarterback Chase Garbers who did some good things for them last year and if he can be more consistent this year, the Golden Bears could surprise some teams again in conference.

This is a real test early in the season for Washington. Cal’s defense will hold strong, but so will Washington’s in this game. It will be a low-scoring affair, similar to last year when Cal won 12-10.

This game will have more points than last year and Washington’s home field advantage will help the Huskies sneak by with the win as they go through some growing pains offensively.

Final Score: Cal 13, Washington 17 (2-0, 1-0 Pac-12)
