5. University of Michigan: Michigan Stadium

The Big Ten is known for not only having some of the premier programs in college football, but also some of the more iconic stadiums, including what is affectionately known as “The Big House.”

The Michigan Wolverines get to play their home games inside this insanely large college football stadium, which is the largest in the United States and the second-biggest stadium in the entire world.

Thanks to how many fans the Wolverines can pack into the venue, Michigan Stadium has become an incredible home-field advantage for the Michigan football program. On some occasions, the stadium can hold around 115,000 fans, which is a huge bump from the original 72,000 seats the stadium first had installed back in 1927.

To say the Wolverines have a solid fan base would be an understatement, as they have sold out every home game since the 1975 college football season. That is a run of over 200 straight contests. That is a big reason the program has won 11 national titles, 42 conference championships and has produced three Heisman Trophy winners.

Of course, when you think of Michigan football, you think of their rivalry with the Ohio State Buckeyes, which is affectionately called “The Game.” The Wolverines have not won “The Game” since the 2011 season, but they do get the Buckeyes at home this season on Nov. 30, which could be a game that gets them into the College Football Playoff.
