19. University of South Carolina: Williams-Brice Stadium

The South Carolina Gamecocks are another team that plays inside an iconic stadium, making it very hard for the opposition to come in and get a win on the road. The 20th largest stadium in all of college football, Williams-Brice Stadium is located by the South Carolina fairgrounds. On most game days is standing room only.

To say that fans of this team love their program would be an understatement, as they can get so rowdy that the stadium would rock during games. In fact, during a 38-14 win against the USC Trojans, the motto “If it ain’t swayin’, we ain’t playin'” came to life, because the new East end was moving during the playing of “Louie, Louie.”

Williams-Brice Stadium came into being back in the 1970s, and the team christened their new stadium with a 25-0 win over the Erskine Flying Fleet. Since then, the program has produced a Heisman Trophy winner in George Rogers, as well as multiple Coaches of the Year and College Football Hall of Famers.

Affectionately referred to as “The Cock Pit,” Williams-Brice Stadium was rated as one of the best atmospheres in college football by SECSports.com, and rightfully so. In the past decade, the program has won five bowl games and an SEC East title, all while playing in the stadium that was the setting for the college football cult classic, “The Program.”
