College football is back, y’all, and it’s time to find your way back to your couch for hours of action. What games should you be tuning into this week?

This is a long weekend of action, one that stretches from Thursday to Monday, so there are plenty of opportunities to catch your favorite sport back on live TV.

This time around, though, Clemson sits atop the college football world while Alabama lugs behind trying desperately to catch up with the Tigers. Will the Tide regain the title? Will it be the Tigers again or maybe someone else entirely?

It all starts on Thursday, so let’s talk binge-watching, y’all.

Thursday Night

Georgia Tech at No. 1 Clemson (8 p.m. ET, ACC Network)

The defending national champions taking on anybody to kick off the season makes for good television, but especially when it is another ACC team to open the season. We will see Trevor Lawrence go to work once again against a rebuilding Georgia Tech team with a brand new head coach in Geoff Collins. Of course, the Clemson defense is also rebuilding itself after losing quite a group to the NFL — Clelin Ferrell, Christian Wilkins, Dexter Lawrence, Trayvon Mullen and Austin Bryant.

Prediction: Clemson wins this one and it isn’t even close. Rebuilding defense or not, it has the upper hand in every aspect of the game.

No. 14 Utah at BYU (10:15 p.m. ET, ESPN)

The Holy War as it is called returns in Week 1 this year. The last time BYU beat Utah was in 2009 in Provo. Since then, it has been all Utes all the time. A season ago, it looked like it may just be BYU’s year as they jumped out to a decent-sized lead but Utah quickly took the reins and that game obviously went to the Utes — again. Utah has a strong defensive front and BYU has a reliable quarterback who could get hot and change this game in a hurry.

Prediction: Call me crazy, but I think BYU can pull this one off. Quarterback Zach Wilson is experienced and talented. I expect him to get this one going early and lead the Cougars to a shocking victory.
