West Virginia Football: Game-by-game predictions for 2019
By Phil Poling
Coming off back-to-back wins against Texas Tech and Kansas State, the Mountaineers host the Oklahoma State Cowboys on Nov. 23, Mike Gundy is still a man, but there’s been no real out of Stillwater about a starting quarterback. Does the mullet man have any eligibility left?

Regardless of who is under center for Gundy, the Cowboys have one of college football’s ten best players in wide receiver Tylan Wallace. They could put a linebacker at quarterback and Wallace would still catch five passes for 50 yards. That won’t win them many games, though.
With their final home stand of the season, WVU football comes out hot and ready for a shootout with the Cowboys. Neither team has a top-flight quarterback, but both sides are notorious for giving up plenty of points.
West Virginia gets the last possession, though, and the ‘Eers head into Thanksgiving break on a three-game winning streak.
Prediction: Oklahoma State 42, West Virginia 44 (7-4, 5-3)
