MORE KU: Jayhawks season preview

While the Kansas Jayhawks have dominated Big 12 basketball over the years, they’ve struggled mightily in football. All that could change under new head coach Les Miles, though.

More from West Virginia Mountaineers

Miles brought in waves of four and five-star talent at his last stop, LSU but Jayhawk fans shouldn’t expect that type of turnaround, at least not right away. In the meantime, the Jayhawks will be a hard-nosed, competitive out for anybody who gets in their path.

West Virginia should be comfortable with their quarterback situation by the time conference play starts, though. Whether it’s Allison or Kendall (or somebody else), the team will understand what is being asked of them on game days and expectations should start rising at this juncture.

Prediction: West Virginia 34, Kansas 19 (3-1, 1-0 Big 12)
