The Texas A&M Aggies open up 2019 against the Texas State Bobcats. This Sun Belt foe should prove to be a worthy tune up game for the Aggies as the Bobcats have not posted a season with more than three wins since 2014. With a road game versus Clemson the following week, expect to see the Aggies’ second and third-string players get plenty of reps.

Kellen Mond believes he is one of the nation’s top quarterbacks and looks to start his case for the 2019 Heisman Trophy with a bang, and he does. Even though Mond only sees playing time in the first half, he still tosses two touchdowns, runs for another, and totals up over 200 yards of offense.

Meanwhile, on the defensive side of the ball, the Aggies force several turnovers throughout the game, and score a touchdown of their own. Texas State is able to get some points on the board, but the Aggies run away with this one.

Final Score: Texas State 10, Texas A&M 52 (1-0)
