It’s too early to panic after UCLA football’s loss to Cincinnati. However, the Bruins did not look good, especially on offense.

Chip Kelly and the Bruin faithful will quickly be looking to move on to the next game and forget about the game they just played against Cincinnati.

The opening drive it looked like the Bruins were going to dominate the game. They forced a three-and-out against the Bearcats and were driving down the field once they got the ball. Their first drive ended with a fumble by the UCLA quarterback Dorian Thompson-Robinson.

After that fumble, Cincinnati drove down and scored. They ended up leading the entire game as UCLA kept trying to take the advantage, but could not.

This is definitely not the way that Bruins wanted to start the season as they dropped the game 24-14. With that said, there are still some positive takeaways from the game. Let’s look into out report card on the offense and the defense and see which position groups received the highest grade in a disappointing loss at Nippert Stadium.

Don’t panic yet, Bruins fans, but be aware that this rebuild will take some time under Chip Kelly.
