Offense

Quarterback: D

It is no secret that DTR (Dorian Thompson-Robinson) struggled on Thursday so there’s no need to beat a dead horse. I’m never going to give an F grade to a kid that is out there fighting, despite not playing well. He threw two interceptions and lost the ball on two other occasions as the ball slipped from his hands.

DTR was responsible for four turnovers, not to mention missing on several wide open receivers. He only completed eight out of his 26 passing attempts and had 156 yards passing, 75 of those yards came on one long pass play. He did throw two touchdowns and can only get better from here, but tonight he struggled.

Offensive Line: B-

I’m not going to pretend I’m an expert in judging offensive line play, but they had a fairly decent night tonight. They gave DTR time to throw and did a nice job opening up running lanes for Demetric Felton. However, they did struggle at the end of the first half and at times throughout the second half. Overall, the offensive line did its job.

Wide Receivers: C

This was a hard position to judge tonight as the receivers did not get many opportunities. There were times that they were open, but DTR simply missed them. Their running back, Felton, led the team in receiving yards so besides him, Jaylen Erwin was their top receiver with 37 yards on three catches. The majority of those yards came on one play.

Running Back: B

Felton got the majority of carries for the Bruins as their starter from last year, Josh Kelley, was unable to play as he is recovering from a knee injury. Felton had 23 carries for 71 yards, but did have the Bruins’ long 75-yard touchdown catch and ended the night with 91 yards receiving. He was their top player on offense.
